She focuses on Well-being, Wisdom, Wonder and Giving and shares the right blend of anecdotes from her own life, her Greek mother's wisdom and the insights of academics.
It's easy reading and importantly, there are practical life lessons to be learned. For me, the key lesson was the importance of quality sleep. (I have written about my efforts to improve my sleep routine here.) Arianna is most definitely an advocate for sleep!
Arianna also reminds readers of the need to be totally present not only with family and friends but when 'on-task'. This has implications for the 'badge of honour' we might wear by multi-tasking and remaining attached to our phones and other devices.
I bought this book from a great little independent bookshop in Melbourne called Brunswick Bound.
Top shelf reading for me! I'll definitely re-read this one down the track!
