Unfortunately, the buffet breakfast is a rare treat but last week's experience has made me consider how I can replicate this relaxing ritual in my 'real life'. To begin, I need to make a more conscientious effort with planning ahead. Usually, after an early morning walk on Saturday mornings my friend and I stop for a 'cuppa' at a local cafe. This is a pleasing ritual but perhaps a step further would be to pre-prepare some delicious fruits, a breakfast dish that differs from my weekday routine and a relaxing herbal tea. I could also choose a tablecloth, placemat or a special cup to be used specifically for this new ritual. These simple steps should allow me to begin my weekend with greater calm and to plan my weekend events and activities with greater clarity.
